Position Purpose
The Data Analyst serves a critical role at Curious Jane by providing data analysis, visualization and engineering services that significantly influence our client’s business outcomes. This position involves designing and leading complex statistical analysis. Analysts are key in implementing data collection and integration workflows that support measurement strategies. They collaborate directly with senior management, ensuring that data insights are integrated into broader business strategies. Additionally, Data Analysts are responsible for innovating and improving analytical processes and tools, thereby enhancing the agency’s capabilities and maintaining its competitive advantage in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Responsibilities
- Design and lead analytical projects that drive strategic business decisions.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management based on advanced data analysis.
- Use advanced analytics to improve campaign effectiveness and ROI.
- Oversee the management of complex datasets, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Integrate data from various sources to create a comprehensive view for analysis.
- Develop advanced dashboards and reports that provide deeper insights into the data.
- Ensure that data visualizations are clear and effectively communicate complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuously seek process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in data analysis.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure that data strategies align with business objectives.
- Follow established processes and procedures, including workflow between teams and external clients.
- Implement media and web tracking to support measurement goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, or related field of equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the advertising industry
- Experience creating and managing data visualizations/reports
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data modeling techniques
- Capability to document and systematize tracking and analytics procedures
- Effective communication skills for conveying complex analytics concepts
- Advanced Excel skills for detailed data analysis and report generation
- Proficiency with SQL for advanced data management and querying
- Proficiency with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Expertise in identifying and resolving discrepancies in data reporting
- Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or other digital analytics platforms
- Experience implementing pixels/tags for platforms such as Facebook, Google Ads, etc.
- Experience using browser developer tools for tag building and testing, such as Chrome Developer Tools
- A solid understanding of the advertising industry’s dynamics and challenges, including knowledge of digital marketing strategies and consumer behavior analysis

Preferred Skills
- Experience developing in Domo
- Ability to read HTML and CSS and implement JavaScript to support event tracking implementation
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as AWS, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
- Experience with IPAAS tools like Zapier
- Experience with API Integrations and/or webhook configuration
- Experience with SEO audits and keyword research
